Loft/Lie is a reference database of golf equipment specifications — loft, lie, length, head material, shaft and grip — for drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters. It currently holds 165 clubs from 10 manufacturers, alongside databases of shafts and golf balls.
It exists because this information is scattered. Manufacturers publish it, then delete it when a model is discontinued. Retailers publish a subset, inconsistently. Forum posts contradict each other. Nobody keeps a single, comparable record that goes back more than a season or two. Loft/Lie is an attempt at that record.
Specifications are taken from manufacturers’ own published data. Where a figure hasn’t been confirmed against a real source, the field is left blank and the page says so, rather than being filled with a plausible guess.
That rule is the whole point of the site, so it is worth being explicit about what it means in practice:
This is a reference, not an authority. Specifications change mid-run, vary by region, and differ between a stock build and what you order from a fitter. Anything here that matters to a purchase should be confirmed with the manufacturer or a fitter before you buy. Corrections are genuinely welcome — see below.
Display advertising and affiliate links. When a shopping link leads to a purchase the site may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Two deliberate constraints come with that. No price is displayed anywhere on the site — prices go stale, and quoting one from a retailer without a live feed would be both inaccurate and against their terms. And commission never affects the data: no club is promoted, reordered or padded because it pays better. The privacy policy covers what advertising and affiliate links mean for your data.
If a number here is wrong, telling us is the most useful thing you can do — email hello@loftlie.com with the club and, if you have it, a link to the manufacturer’s page showing the correct figure. A source makes a correction quick to verify and apply.
